Knee Problems
I used to be able to run for a great distance. However, with in the past year I starting feeling sharp pain in my left knee after running for just a few minuets. I bought a couple different knee braces to see if this would help but it doesn't do much.
It only happens when I am running, so I stay away from running on the treadmill and work out on the stair master or elliptical.
I know I should go to the doctor to get it checked out but was wondering if anyone knew what it could possibly be before I go/or if anyone has anything similar.
It ONLY hurts when I am running, other then that I don't feel a thing.

I have problems with my right knee. When it first started it was much the same as you described but it has gotten worse lately so I am going to have to go get it looked at.

In my opinion, your weight is much more than average. An overweight body puts more pressure on the knees. What is your BMI (Body Mass Index)? If it's more than 27, then you are overweight and that could be the cause of the knee pain that you experience only 'while running'. You can try losing your weight and if the knee pain fades after losing some lbs, then the pain was present only because of your increased weight.
