Women especially need to be careful drinking coffee. A cup or two a day is probably okay if you're getting enough calcium, but some studies indicate drinking coffee can interfere with your bodies ability to absorb it. And since coffee is a diuretic, you're losing more calcium urinating the calcium out, too.

A study from Harvard University last year found that those who drank two to four cups of coffee per day had half the of the suicide risk compared to those who drank decaf or no coffee at all. It can also lower incidents of depression.

Coffee is good and bad for us. I only drink it when I wake up as it energizes me and gets me ready for the day. If you drink coffee too much, especially 3 or 4 cups a day, it's very unhealthy. Too much caffeine for anyone.

I love coffee, but too much can h ave side effects. Although you may not notice them now, you may at a later stage.

At the same time there is a lot of research that shoes coffee helps prevent several different cancers. Coffee is continuously used in cancer treatment and it continuous to be researched. Coffee is know as the 'Cancer Killer'.

So, it really depends on the individual and what they can learn to live with.

I always heard that drinking coffee black is the healthiest. Coffee is good for you as long as you are not consuming too much of it. It helps fight cancer and the caffeine helps speed up your metabolism.
It is when we add mike and sugar that coffee is not longer healthy.

I like my coffee black. I usually have one cup in the morning and that's it but every once in a while I will have the second cup. I am not much of a coffee drinker but I do enjoy my morning coffee before I head out for the day. Some days I don't even bother having coffee. If I have it great and if I don't that is okay too. I know some people who have to have their coffee. If they don't they are irritable and cranky.

Coffee, in moderation, is an anti-oxidant plus a great energiser. When I mean in moderation, it means maybe one to three cups of coffee a day. If you drink it on its own, without any sugar or cream, then better. Because when you take into account the sugar you take in with coffee, it can be quite in excess, especially with your case that it's five to six cups a day.

Have you tried tea? It also has caffeine and anti-oxidants in it making it a healthier option. I'm with you though, coffee tastes like no other. I cannot seem to tolerate tea unless they're milk teas and with ice.

Yes, coffee has much more benefit than any of its alternative. Coffee has many benefits. It is proved to be beneficial for preventing us from type 2 diabetes. It prevents Parkinson's disease, liver cancer, etc. It also contains anti-oxidant that prevents us from various life-threatening disease such as cancer. It is also scientifically proved that coffee helps increases metabolism and helps us burn fat.
