They say that a Bajan (i.e. what Barbadians call ourselves) can be found everywhere on the planet.

Fitness, sport, health, music, medicine, culinary art, literature... all areas that have been influenced by Bajans.

A little dot in the middle of the ocean, so very vibrant with life.

A little rock that I am proud to call my home.

To my brothers and sisters scattered across the seas... as well as to my friends and family here sharing this rock with me, I'd like to wish a happy Independence Day to you.

November 30th... the day we became whole. The day we became a recognized nation.
