We have all heard a million times that cardio and strength training are pretty much mutualy exclusive activities if one wants to exceed in either. I never quite bought into that because nothing ever got my quads as jacked as hitting the stair master hard and cyclist got some pretty fucking insane quads.

One of the points of the article makes sense to me through the reading; lifting heavy things!
I'm not really into lifting weight, more likely like to run and walk when it comes to cardio exercising, but happens that oftentimes have to help my mom lifting heavy things, hence the consequences I can see now. |

I hate cardio.
But I train to failure, use drop-sets etc. So I've never lacked for cardiovascular conditioning. Running wrecks me. Not my lungs... Me. Joints. Back. Me. |

I haven't done cardio for half a year now and two days ago my resting heart rate was at 49, just from doing compound movements without exaggerated rest periods in between sets.
I do need some cardio though to keep fat gain away unless I want to go full nazi on my eating habits ![]() ![]() |
