Default Touch chest or not when DB pressing?

When doing db bench, do you touch the dumbbell to your chest at the bottom of each rep or stop above? I used to stop a bit above but the last 1,5 years or so I have been religious about touching chest and it has improved my drive from the bottom both in db press and bench a lot. It does reduce the tension in the chest a bit though.

Just curious to see what you guys have as a preference?

I think I unconsciously relax the chest a bit before I start driving it up again, kind of like a micro pause. Not sure how much it reduces tension but it makes the movement quite a bit harder for me compared to stopping just slightly above.

i don't touch my chest i put it next to it equal with it though.i concentrate on the stretching of the muscle

i stop just shy, but i do this as it is as far as i can decend without too much pain in my shoulder.... i have a bum shoulder from an injury years ago

I dont touch my chest with the dumbell. My range of movement isnt that tight or close. In terms of depth, I do go deep into a stretch before pusing back up.
