I think I am in a minority in saying that I wish I had spent a lot less time learning about dieting and a lot more time learning about training. If I could go back I would tell myself to get 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight daily and avoid grains. I think that advice would have given me better results than anything else I could posssibly tell myself diet wise :)

but i do feel diet is very important too.


personally i think they work hand in hand

i dont count cals anymore. but posted in my log due to people who are curious on cals

^^ Yeah they sure do work hand in hand.

I just think people get TO obsessed about details that really are unimportant in the bigger picture. If someone is 15-20% bf and looking to go down to 10%, then there is no need for advanced stuff. Just get enough protein and have a kcal deficiency.

If someone wants to go from 10% to 5% then I don't have the slightest clue what is needed lol, but I think 99% if lifters are in the first group rather than the second.

I would have kept up with sports... and trained more opposed to just "play for fun"... and watched what i ate... sooo diet and focus...
