A little goes a long way when it comes to weight loss. Research has shown that losing 10% of your body weight -- or less can have big payoffs for your health.

Such a small loss may not seem like much if you're trying to look svelte in your jeans. But in terms of your health, it can be a big victory.

My reason for losing weight is to be healthy in general. I have always been a thicker female and would never want to be skinny or worry about fitting into certain sizes. I have kids and my focus is on being around for them and living a long happy life!

My reason for losing weight...I have many reasons. It started off as wanting to look as good as I felt inside, coming out of a 4 year toxic relationship which called for a new beginning, wanting to feel more energy, wanting to fit into my clothes better, and the list goes on and on. Now that I have been working out for over 7 1/2 months consistently, however, I work out because it helps me feel great mentally, emotionally and physically. After a hard core work out, I feel relaxed, tired and ready to go to bed, which is what I've always wanted. I don't do it much for the results anymore, as working out and eating better have become part of my lifestyle. The results are sort of a bonus to all the other great things I have gained from working out.

I am not really trying to lose weight. If I drop a few pounds, so be it, but that's not my main goal. I'm a nice size -- just trying to tone up! You know? My struggle is finding the right food combinations that will help me tone and not lose.

I want to lose weight because I think I easily get tired when I'm a bit overweight. Going up the stairs gets me out of breath easily. I cannot even work for a short distance. I think having just the right weight is healthy and it makes you live life better.

I want to lose wight mainly so I can be more confident. When I am confident I am happier, more outgoing, and more successful. I can dress better and I enjoy life more. It's also going to be bikini season soon so I want to have a great figure for the beach. Losing weight and gaining muscle would just make me a much happier person!
