Default Fitness Wearables - Fitbit and more???

Curious about fitness wearables, there's so many to choose from! Jawbone Ups, Garmin VivoFit and of course the FitBit trackers...
Do any of you use a wearable fitness tracker and if so, do you think it helped improve your lifestyle as it relates to health and fitness accountability?
Thanks!

I like gadgets... but, no...I'm very bare bones when it comes to fitness.

I see all that stuff as a fad... or being gimmicky.

Will leave the floor open for people who actually use that sort of stuff.

Funny enough I thought this post would have gotten some responses...I guess everybody is into bare bones fitness as well.

I was recently gifted a fitbit and I will come back and post on how I've found it thus far

I have been very tempted to buy a Microsoft band, the review I see on the heart rate accuracy for most wearable is disappointing though. I would want it to have a decent calories burned estimate but I want the estimated done on heart rate, not pedometer, so the heart rate accuracy is crucial.

I use a tomtom multisport cardio when training and it uses optical heart rate monitoring and it is fairly accurate so when a proper wearable arrives that can match the tomtom in accuracy I will probably pic it up.

I am far more interested in bar tracking gadgets though, stuff one can put on the bar and get velocity curves, that would be great for estimating fatigue etc without needing to go heavy. They are all rather pricey still though.

I have a Fitbit flex and I am very pleased with it. I find that I started wearing it I am more motivated and I work harder to reach my goals. It is definitely one of the best purchases that I have made when it comes to my fitness.
