i have never used them ,but i can see where they will work....

straps are the devil, never use them myself, as the kill your grip strength....

I used to use straps for all back work. I have cut it down to only for deadlifts and shrugs now and my grip strength is going up a lot. I hope I can ditch them for deads in the future but thats probably a long struggle.

you can do it Johan... i dont use them at all now, i got myself some chalk and it helped alot, but now i just go raw....

Ahhh I love these!!

When I'm away from my gym or hitting up a different gym in my city I have a pair I use. Thick bars (or grips) are fantastic forearm and grip tools. I don't know if I could go back to less than 1.5" haha.

Well worth the cost. I'll be picking up more when I go away for school.

I've never used a fat grip... I do pad my bars with foam however. This increases the circumference, without causing me any new corns lol.

Re: straps.. I no longer use 'em.

I ordered some. Will let you know how it goes.

I force myself to hold heavy weight raw. Im convinced one of the reasons my DL lagged was due to forearm failure.

One thing I found that helped is: after biceps workout I go to the dusty end of the DB rack, I pick up the heaviest DBs and just hold them for 30-40 seconds. I went from around 120lbs to 145lbs in a matter of weeks. It helped me lift 300+lbs on my DL

BTW: I had trouble gripping 4 plates for DLs just 3-4months ago. Now I can grip 6 with no problem. You just have to get your wrists accustomed to handling the heavy weight. All I did was go to the dusty end of the DB rack and do 1 set, 1-2 a week. Helped greatly. My forearms arent big but they are getting stronger.
