Default Another pull ups question

So i was doing some pull ups using the dual bars, but this cat says to me i should use the longer single-wide bar and use a wider grip.

Is he correct?

And is it better to do a half pull up or the full stretch?

Does he know what you're training for? does he know your goals?

Anyone who approaches you with a statement like "it's better to do it this way" better have some knowledge of what it is you're trying to achieve.

Either way, you're still doing a pullup, the difference in grips and such can come down to personal preference.

However variety is the spice of life my friend. mix it up.

No.

He sounds like the gym idiot... who parades himself as the guru.

Full ROM.

But, I'm not sure how that's related to your primary question.

...unless the 'dual bars' don't allow you full ROM.
