Default Emergen-C as a post workout supplement?

I picked up a box of Emergen-C 5 today, to hopefully help fight the cold that I have coming on.
This stuff is only about $8.00 for a box of 30 packets. So it's cheap enough.
What do you guys think of this as a daily dietary supplement?

How about as a post workout mix?
It seems to me that would be pretty good as a recovery drink.
But, alas, I am no vitamin guru.

What say you?

Also, it taste great!

Im a HYUUUGE fan of Vitamin C. I buy straight ester vitamin C (comes in 500mg or 1000mg tabs). If I feel a cold/sickness coming on I megadose the stuff between 8-10g/day for 2-3 days and voila no cold.

It has also been a big help during strict, lowcarb/keto dieting in keeping my energy levels up. I will megadose vit C (again at 8-10g/day) to combat any lethargy I may have and it does the trick.

I've never researched into vit C as a PWO supp so maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Good pickup nonetheless C!

A couple of grams of vitamin c has been shown to lower cortisol levels after exercise so I'd go for it (the study was done on running though but I guess its not totally unreasonable to assume it works for lifting as well).

I take 6 grams of vitamin c per day (as pure ascorbic acid), but I haven't been taking it post workout for a while.

I like upstates idea as the no estered vit c is supposed to be better. I see no prob with you eating the emergen c anyway. Just a brand name for vitamin c. It also works as a natural diuretic in certain doses. Not sure of the dose so Corey can help with that.

Honestly I use emergen-C as a pre-workout supp on my particularly hard days... like when I teach bootcamps.

PWO is fine as well mate.

PWO with some BCAAS would be awesome.

I'll just switch the order and use it preworkout.
