Curious on peoples thoughts about training each muscle more than once a week.
As I suffer from Pectus carinatum aka pigeon chest, and was told that if I were to train chest 3x week, it would actually help me. But at the same time I am concerned with over training chest. |

more doesnt mean more gains.
you recover outside the gym. rest and nutrition. 3 times a week would be overkill 2 times a week can be managed. but more so used to break through plateaus stick with what your doing now. just go ball to wall with that. dont do any less or any more after it you dcan

I think as long as your nutrition is in check and you are getting proper rest, 2x a week is very manageable. Not sure how the board feels about supplements but creatine and BCAAs should help with recovery to prevent over training.

creatine and BCAA would def help no doubt.
i think you have to have some decent lifting experience to do this to know how your body feels

Yes, Training a body part twice a week is a great idea, especially if it's a weak or lagging part. Sometimes you have to do more to make a body part grow. Try lifting heavy one day, then light the next.

Training more tends to work.
..until it no longer does. That's the thing with bodybuilding: "everything works. But nothing works forever." I vary my volume as well as my frequency. High-frequency for too long tends to lead to regression for me. |

I used to train each muscle once a week but then I started to do arm day twice because they are a smaller muscle and heal faster than others. I wouldn't recommend doing leg day twice a week only because they are big muscles and need to rest properly
